AJ Sinapis

AI Strategist · Fulbright Scholar

From social research to enterprise AI products.

I'm AJ Sinapis — an AI Product Strategist and Fulbright Scholar with 7+ years translating business needs into digital products. My work spans enterprise AI and digital transformation for Fortune 50 clients, and founding technology ventures from a blank page to a working prototype.

My path isn't a straight line, but rather an ode to interdisciplinary knowledge. I studied economics, sociology, and data science, spent a decade across finance, management consulting, and academic research, and recently graduated from the Master of Information Management & Systems program at UC Berkeley as a Fulbright Scholar, with human-centered design training at Stanford's d.school.

I build responsible AI products and conduct research on human–AI interaction in product design, at the intersection of people, data, and regulation. I care about products that work in the real world: in regulated environments, across languages, and for people the default systems tend to overlook. This holistic approach — social science rigor plus technical fluency — is how I keep human context in the loop when the systems get complex.

Raw intelligence itself is no longer the differentiator. Every serious competitor can license the same models; the same reasoning and generation are becoming table stakes across every industry. What separates a working business from a demo is whether that intelligence is embedded into how the organization actually operates: its workflows, its approvals, its judgment calls — and that embedding is now entering its harder phase, as agents move from answering questions to acting inside a process. That shift raises the stakes on governance and trust considerably. Closing that gap, in institutions with very little tolerance for error, is the work I'm passionate about.
